A NEW APOGEE GAME RELEASE: "BIO MENACE"
========================================
BIO MENACE(tm) Copyright 1993 Apogee Software
(Portions Copyright 1993 Id Software and Jim Norwood)
Created by Jim Norwood and a talented team game designers.
BIO MENACE has taken nearly two years to develop, and it shows!
Using advanced screen scrolling technology, similar to Apogee's
Commander Keen: Goodbye, Galaxy! and Monster Bash! games, Bio
Menace is another example of cutting edge game design.
The Story: You're Snake Logan, a top-secret operative for the CIA
trained to complete missions that others would consider suicidal.
So it doesn't surprise you when you're called into headquarters to
be briefed on an elevating situation in Metro City.
Thousands of monster-like creatures are tearing through the Metro
City leaving a wake of destruction. Communication with the city
has been lost, and the city has been placed under martial law.
CIA believes Dr. Mangle, once the lead researcher for the
experimental Operation Bug Glow, is behind the rampage. Before he
mysteriously vanished, Dr. Mangle's Operation Bug Glow was designed
to genetically mutate ordinary insects into intelligent, large
predators, useful for military warfare.
It seems the Doctor succeeded!
As Snake, you must infiltrate Metro City and somehow mangle the
Doctor's crazed plan, and regain control of the city.
Bio Menace is similar in many ways to Apogee's Duke Nukum super hit
game, with non-stop action, incredible graphics, puzzling levels,
and plenty of destruction. Cool theme music (Ad Lib or Sound
Blaster compatible) plays on every level.
Menacing features:
* Over 6 Megs of compressed EGA/VGA graphics.
* Full AdLib sound track and sound effects.
* Over twenty animated mutated creatures and enemies.
* Many different weapons available to use, including grenades.
* Huge, puzzling levels.
* Superbly integrated story with progressing plot.
* Three skill levels.
* Built-in on-line hints.
* Requires a 286 or 386 or better CPU.
How to PREVIEW Bio Menace:
To get a sneak peek look at Bio Menace, use the Apogee slide show
viewer by just typing "MENACE" from the DOS prompt.
